Forgive the videographer for the blustering microphone noises. At least he had the good sense to record the beauty of Inspiration Point.
I'm homesick. This is where I grew up and learned to appreciate the natural world. Santa Barbara is a coastal desert. It tends to be warm and dry and the breeze picks up in the evening which doesn't suck. When the sun sets into the ocean, its light gets reflected off buff sandstone outcrops on the foothills and fills the hillsides with a warm glow. For the record, for all the cool things it has, the east coast doesn't have that.

Old Knudsen: I never pegged you for a tree hugger. I've never hugged a tree, but I've cut a few down. They cover the geology. A little napalm sets things right. Rocks... I've hugged more that a few.
From Santa Barbara north, the coast is stunning. I like it up there but don't go often enough. Time is precious. Maybe I will take a day off work and drive up there. I need some inspiration.
WOW, I could almost be homesick for that view and I've never been there:) Absolutely breathtaking!
It's only a view for fuck's sake.
Other places have views too, you know.
I'm not going to stand for this. It is an outrage and I've had enough of it.
Eddie: Yeah, Santa Barbara County on up to Canada is pretty divine. I'm looking forward to a visit in August. *sigh*
Art: Breathtaking isn't the half of it. To get to Inspiration Point, you have to hike 800 feet of elevation over 1 3/4 miles. Takes a minute to catch your breath at the top.
Troika: Stick a cork in it! It's pretty. You're just cross because I've not written anything dirty in a while. Keep your shirt on!
You've not written anything for a while!
Happy, Troika?
